The Society for Animals In Distress referred to as SAID, is a Non-Profit Company that provides professional welfare veterinary care to animals from indigent communities.

 

Delivery Policy

 

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 7 days and delivery confirmed by way of booking number. When possible, postage costs will be included in the price for the item. Otherwise, postage will be confirmed on receipt of order.

 

Export Restriction

 

The offering on this website is available to South African clients only

 

Return and Refunds Policy

 

The provision of goods and services by SAID is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, SAID will refund the client in full within 30 days.

 

Cancellation of orders will result in the payment for an item being reallocated as a cash donation.

 

Customer Privacy Policy

 

SAID shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

Payment Options Accepted

 

Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard credit cards or by bank transfer into the SAID bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

 

Credit card acquiring and security

 

Credit card transactions will be acquired for SAID via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway. PayGate is a licensed System Operator with the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA). PayGate is fully PCI compliant and uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

 

Customer details separate from card details

 

Customer details will be stored by SAID separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za

 

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

 

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

 

Country of domicile

 

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and SAID chooses as its ‘domicilium citandi et executandi’ for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

 

Variation

 

SAID may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Debit Orders

 

This signed Authority and Mandate refers to our contract as dated as on signature hereof (“the Agreement”). I / We hereby authorise you to issue and deliver payment instructions to the bank for collection against my / our abovementioned account at my / our above mentioned bank (or any other bank or branch to which I / We may transfer my / our account) on condition that the sum of such payment instructions will never exceed my / our obligations as agreed to in the Agreement, and commencing on the commencement date and continuing until this Authority and Mandate is terminated by me / us by giving you notice in writing of no less than 20 ordinary working days, and sent by prepaid registered post or delivered to your address indicated above.

 

The individual payment instructions so authorised to be issued must be issued and delivered as follows:

  1. On the first day (“payment day”) of each and every month commencing on activation of your PayGate Account. In the event that the payment day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or recognised South African public holiday, the payment day will automatically be the very next ordinary business day. Further, if there are insufficient funds in the nominated account to meet the obligation, you are entitled to track my account and re-present the instruction for payment as soon as sufficient funds are available in my account;
  2. Monthly; on or after the dates when the obligation in terms of the Agreement is due and the amount of each individual payment instruction may not be more or less that the obligation due;

 

I / We understand that the withdrawals hereby authorised will be processed through a computerised system provided by the South African Banks and I also understand that details of each withdrawal will be printed on my bank statement. Each transaction will contain a number, which must be included in the said payment instruction and if provided to you should enable you to identify the Agreement. A payment reference is added to this form before the issuing of any payment instruction. I / We shall not be entitled to any refund of amounts which you have withdrawn while this authority was in force, if such amounts were legally owing to you.

 

MANDATE:

I / We acknowledge that all payment instructions issued by you shall be treated by my/our above mentioned bank as if the instructions had been issued by me/us personally.

CANCELLATION

I / We agree that although this Authority and Mandate may be cancelled by me / us, such cancellation will not cancel the Agreement. I / We shall not be entitled to any refund of amounts which you have withdrawn while this authority was in force, if such amounts were legally owing to you.

ASSIGNMENT:

I / We acknowledge that this Authority may be ceded to or assigned to a third party if the agreement is also ceded or assigned to that third party, but in the absence of such assignment of the Agreement, this Authority and Mandate cannot be assigned to any third party.

🩺 Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

For emergencies outside these hours, we kindly request that you contact a private veterinarian or your local SPCA for assistance.
